The Greatest Show on Arf: The 27th Annual Northport Dog Parade

This past weekend, I had the absolute pleasure of attending the 27th Annual Northport Dog Parade—a pawsitively fantastic event that brought together over 200 dogs and their humans for a day filled with fun, laughter, and a lot of wagging tails! This year’s theme, "Barkum and Bailey's Flea Ring Circus," transformed the streets of Northport into a whimsical circus, complete with adorable dog performers and an audience of enthusiastic pet lovers.

As a proud Ringmaster Sponsor, I was thrilled to be part of this record-breaking year, where the parade saw its largest turnout ever. From dogs dressed as elephants and clowns, to pups transforming into pup-corn, the creativity on display was nothing short of amazing. It was truly a pet photographer’s dream to capture these moments of pure dog joy and excitement.

But this event is about more than just cute costumes and a day out with the dogs. Proceeds from the parade went to some incredible local causes, including Cherryland Humane Society, The Fisher Fund, and Great Lakes Humane Society. Knowing that our furry friends were helping other furry friends made it all the more special.

These are some of my favorite photos from the day—capturing the spirit of the event, the community, and, of course, our four-legged stars. Whether you were there in person or are experiencing it now through these images, I hope you can feel the joy that filled the air that day!

I’m already looking forward to next year’s parade and can’t wait to see what theme they come up with next. Until then, enjoy the photos, and give your furry friends an extra treat for me—after all, they’ve earned it!
